Setting Up Two Factor Authentication
Logging into the Ocelot Admin system is now more secure than ever. Per Department of Education recommendations, Two Factor Authentication will now be a requirement for access to Ocelot’s platform.
Visit https://admin.ocelotbot.com to log into the Ocelot Admin system.
Log in using your email and password.
Set up Two Factor Authentication. Two Factor Authentication (or “2FA”) offers two methods of authentication available:
Ocelot recommends using SMS (text) messages unless you have existing familiarity with Google Authenticator.
Option 1: SMS (text) Message Authentication
Enter your cell phone number so that you can receive a text with an authentication code.
Click the button to update your phone number, and send verification code.
Enter the code sent to you via text message.
Click
Validate verification code, and then CONFIRM Enable SMS (text) messages two-factor authentication.
This will be saved as your chosen option for future log-ins and can be changed to the Google Authenticator option in the future as desired by revisiting this same tab.
Click the blue “Return to Product Admin” button to go to your admin system.
Option 2: Google Authenticator
There are two options to get an authentication code through Google Authenticator:
Downloadable Google Authenticator App
Download the Google Authenticator app to your computer or other mobile devices.
Options:
Scan QR Code
or
Copy and paste code manually
Enter your one-time code and click “CONFIRM: Enable Google Authenticator two factor authentication”
Authenticator Internet Browser Plug-in Extension
There are various authenticator extensions that you may use. We are recommending the Authenticator browser extension that can be used with Chrome, Firefox, and Edge.
Go to authenticator.cc.
Select the option to add to your browser.
Click Add to [Browser]
Verify that you want to add the extension. Click Add extension.
The extension should now appear in your browser bar.
Click on the extension. Select the pen.
Click the box with the plus sign.
If you are using an internet browser, select the Manual Entry option.
In the Issue box, enter: Ocelot
In the Secret box, from the two-factor authorization page, enter the series of letters after the word secret=.
Click Ok.
You will be given a six-digit code.
Enter this code into the One-Time password box.
*Make sure there are no extra spaces added after the code.
Click Click CONFIRM: Enable Google Authenticator two factor authentication
Click the Return to Product Admin to go to your admin system by clicking on the blue “Return to Product Admin” button.
