 How to Perform Websocket Testing


If you are experiencing connectivity issues, it may be due to your institution’s security infrastructure such as: 

  • Virtual Private Network (VPN)

  • Firewall

  • Antivirus software

 

To help investigate your connection issues,  go to the following site: https://websocketstest.com

 

The site will run a test to see if WebSockets works for you. This is a secure site meant to only test your system's ability to connect to a server via a WebSocket communications protocol. We've seen that there can be instances where an institution's security infrastructure can negatively affect Live Assistant connections.

 

Upon running the test successfully, you will see the following message:

 

 

If you do not receive this message, the websocket connection may be impacting Live Assistant. Reach out to Ocelot Support for assistance.
