Ocelot can help you reach students with clear, concise messages. Use these email templates to communicate with your students about important information.
Each topic includes three suggested email titles and a body of text. The templates are designed to be copied and pasted into your system’s mail client after you’ve tailored the text to your needs.
- Orange text should be reviewed and customized for your school and your students.
- Blue text indicates suggested links to encourage students to dig deeper or connect with resources and may need to be modified with your GetAnswers portal URL.
The templates include relevant video content to reinforce your message. Choose the video(s) most suited to your needs, or use Ocelot Admin to add any videos or playlists you’d like.

School wants to ensure you know your rights under the Federal Direct Student Loan program. Here are the important points:
- You have the right to cancel some or all of the loan. To do that, loan cancellation process instructions (or) link to the financial aid webpage.
- If you’d like your financial aid to pay for charges other than tuition, required fees, and housing if applicable on your bill, you can learn more and authorize that here.
- If money is left over once your bill is paid, we need your permission to release it to your bank account. It’s easy to do here.
If you change your schedule or add new charges to your student account, your bill could change. Keep up with your student account on system and open all emails from us.

What’s the 1098T form? Here’s what you need to know!
Understand your 1098T tax form

School wants to be sure you have the information you need to reap the tax benefits of being a student. We’ll send you a 1098T form in January that details tuition, required fees, and other qualifying expenses you’ve been charged for at school. It might help you owe less in taxes, or get a bigger refund.
Filing taxes can be complex, so we recommend you learn how being a student may impact your tax responsibility. The IRS has tax help and information for students here. School has more info about the form and how to use it here.
