Multibot Live Chat Conversation User Permissions

Modified on Wed, 24 May, 2023 at 9:45 AM

Live chat agents must have live chat permissions for the parent bot and any child bots they need to actively view and participate.

Permission roles will be respected for both parent and child bots.

Example: If a user is given the Live Chat - Standard role, they have the Live Chat - Standard role for both parent and child bots.

Office permissions are assigned at the bot level. A user may have different live chat office permissions defined for each bot they are associated with.

Example: A live chat Agent could be assigned to the Financial Aid Office for child bot A and the Registrar's Office for child bot B. The live chat agent will only be able to view and participate in live chat conversations dependent on the office permissions of the bot the live chat agent is assigned.
