Live Chat Agents must have Live Chat permissions for the parent bot and any child bots they need to actively view and participate.

Permission roles will be respected for both parent and child bots. For example, if a user is given the Live Chat - Standard role, they have the Live Chat - Standard role for both parent and child bots.

Office permissions are assigned at the bot level. A user may have different Live Chat office permissions defined for each bot they are associated with. For example, a Live Chat Agent could be assigned to the Financial Aid Office for child bot A and the Registrar's Office for child bot B. The Live Chat Agent will only be able to view and participate in Live Chat conversations dependent on the office permissions of the bot the Live Chat Agent is assigned.

It is also important to understand how changing user permissions in a multi-bot environment works. Please review the Changing an Agent’s Permissions article for more information.
