Multi-bot Live Chat Authentication

Modified on Wed, 24 May, 2023 at 9:53 AM

Live chat authentication allows customers to choose on an office-by-office basis whether or not a live chat end user needs to authenticate (log in using their SSO credentials) prior to being placed into the live chat queue.

Live chat authentication can also be enabled for parent/child bots.

To enable live chat authentication, complete the following steps:

  1. Add an authentication provider. Authentication providers must be enabled in each individual bot (parent bot and all applicable child bots)

For instructions on adding an authentication provider, review the Adding an Authentication Provider article.

  2. Enable live chat authentication on each individual bot (parent bot and all applicable child bots)

For instructions on enabling live chat authenication, review the Live Chat Authentication article.
